Peugeot aiming to topple Audi
This year Peugeot aims to topple Audis winning streak in the LMP1 class since it dominated with the original R8 minus the Bentley Speed 8 win (which had Audi crews and was supported by Audi Sport). Audi has had an 8 year winning streak and intends to keep it that way, but believes it has the horsepower, handling and endurance package to challenge its rival at Sebring. It was solid all winter and on Monday posted a quick lap of 1 minute, 43.302 seconds with French driver Stephane Sarrizan driving the 3.7-mile, 17-turn layout.
